Fixing Your ClientRegistry File

Don't be worried, there's nothing fancy about how to "fix" your ClientRegistry.blob file. All you need to do is:

  1. ensure that Steam isn't running (and close it if it is)
  2. make a backup copy of the file - you don't have to place this backup in the Steam folder like Steam Support suggests you should
  3. remove the original version of the ClientRegistry.blob from your Steam folder
  4. restart Steam
